He leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Dawson, a daughter Belva and husband Joe Staples, a son Lawrence “Sonny” Stanley and wife Lisa, one step-daughter Damon Crist; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one sister Lenora Wheaton; special friends Donnie and Bonnie Staples. He was predeceased by his first love and wife, Althea Orcutt, son Mark Stanley and brothers Hugh and Ralph. Committal Services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery on Swans Island at 12 noon on Saturday, October 18th with a luncheon to follow at Swans Island School where everyone is welcome to join the family.
