Obituary of Leona Herrick

LEONA HERRICK, 87, passed away on her birthday, July 30, 2015, in Belfast. She was born in Belfast, the daughter of Tracy and Mary (Aldus) Smith. She graduated from Crosby High School in 1946. Leona worked at Merrill Bank for 26 years, retiring in 1986 as manager of the Searsport branch and assistant treasurer of Merrill Bank. She was predeceased by her husband Foster Herrick in 1992; her parents; sisters Ruth Hall, Dorothy Curtis, Rena Curtis, Mary Frechette; two sons Michael A. Conlon and John A Conlon III; a brother Tracy; two granddaughters Shelley and Marianna Conlon and one great grandson Preston Conlon. Survivors include a very special guy in her life, Richard L. Jackson of Searsport and a son Jeff Conlon and his wife Lurinda of Cushing; one sister Barbara Miller of Lincolnville; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren – and one more on the way – three step-daughters, Jocelyn Thompson and her husband Bruce of New Hampshire, Luanne Drinkwater and husband Kim of Belfast and Stacie Christenson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. August 8th at Elmwood Cemetery in Searsport. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
