Obituary of Clifford G. Stinson

Clifford Gilbert Stinson of Lincolnville, born May 24, 1929, in Camden, passed away at the Sussman House on July 25, 2019. Kip was the son of Leon Y. and Mabel W. Stinson. After he attended Camden High School (Class of ’47), Kip enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Alaska. Kip and Gene were married for 67 years and have two daughters, Carol Rogers of Lincolnville, and Janice Pottle of Rhode Island. Kip was a police officer for the Town of Camden, and later worked for the Town Highway Department. He worked for Marriner’s Paving as well. Kip was a member of the Legion Post #30 in Camden. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, square dancing and winters in Florida. Kip is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his daughters, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
