Obituary of Debra L. Bailey

Debra Lopez Bailey passed away on May 20, 2019, and has gone to check on what Mike is up too. She was born October 15, 1952, the youngest daughter of Richard and Dorthea Lopez in Gorham, Maine. Since 1986, she lived with her husband Mike and their two daughters, in Searsmont, Maine, both working as special education teachers in the RSU #71 school district. Debra was known for her love of gardening, family, good food and a good laugh. Debra was proceeded by her husband of 36 years, Mike, her parents, and her older sisters Mary and Gale. Survived by her daughters, Lindsay Bailey of Belfast, Kate Deep and her husband Allen of South Portland, her sister Ann St. Cyr and her husband Harvey of Sanford. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Michael and Debra Bailey Scholarship, ℅ Belfast Area High School, 98 Waldo Ave. Belfast, Maine 04915. The celebration of Deb’s life will be held at the Belfast Boathouse on May 31, 2019 at 4pm, followed by a reception until 7pm.
