Obituary of George F. Landes

George F. Landes, 72 of Waldo, passed away May 1, 2019 at the VA Togus Hospital. George served 33 years in the United States military. He served as an Army sniper, a Navy Seal and in his later years of service, a Navy Seabee. During his last year of service, George received the Navy Achievement Medal for saving 26 DEA men. George was a wonderful provider. He loved his wife of 43 years, his family and numerous friends and will be sorely missed by all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, chickens and gardening. George was predeceased by his parents Karl and Anna Landes and his sister Carol Ann Asch. Surviving are his wife Pam J. Landes; his children, Carrie Landes, Angela Emerson, Autumn Landes and Michelle Brown; his grandchildren, Brittany Emerson, Taylor Emerson and Frank Brown; his friends Del and Val Curtis and his dear cat Sammie. Per George's wishes, there will be no services. If you wish to honor him, please make a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice.
