Obituary of Carroll H. Glidden

Carroll H. Glidden, 66, of Searsmont passed away March 9th, 2019. Born April 28th, 1952 to Elberton Glidden and Helen (Higgins) Glidden. Carroll graduated in 1970 from Erskine Academy. Carroll spent most of his career working in Forestry and DOT Bridge Maintenance. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed his many trips to the family camp in Canada. In 2018 Carroll was finally drawn for a moose permit and was successful on Oct. 9th, this would be his final hunting trip and most memorable one. Carroll was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Mary (Cooper) Glidden, his parents Elberton and Helen, his sister Kathy (Glidden) Saban, grandchildren Tyson Glidden, and Devante and Samuel Warner, Jr. Carroll is survived by his brothers Arthur Glidden of Florida and Eldon Glidden of Palermo; his children Tina Hollis of Norfolk, VA, Loretta Glidden of Fairfield, Joanna Glidden of Searsmont, James Glidden and his fiance Heather Rodrigue of China; as well as 10 Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
