Obituary of Susan Lee Allen

Susan L. Allen, 71 of Prospect, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2019 at Waldo County General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born in Millinocket on April 6, 1947 to the late Lewis and Bernice Fling. Susan was strong in her faith and dearly loved the many dogs she had throughout the years, and the most recent being "Cooper". Susan had a passion for cooking and especially enjoyed cooking for her "ladies" at the Deborah Lincoln House in Belfast, Me. Susan was in the Daughters of the Mayflower Society in which she was very proud of. Susan was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Charles Fling and Lewis Fling III. Surviving are her beloved husband of 35 years, Robert Allen; her son Kip Cox and special partner Pam; her daughter Kim Hopper and husband Mark; her step-daughter Brandy Basso and husband Mike; her brother Robert Fling; her grandchildren, Morganne, Nicholas and Grace. She is leaving behind many very close friends that were very dear to her. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations to the Bangor Humane Society. A Celebration of Life will be held at Seasons Restaurant in Bangor in the Eagle Room, on Thursday, March 21, at 6 pm, for family and friends to gather and remember Susan.
