Obituary of Sandra P. Way

SANDRA POTTER WAY, 71 of Belfast, passed away on February 19, 2019 in Belfast. Sandra was born on June 14, 1947 in Camden, Maine to the late James Potter and Merle (Banks) Potter. She was a member of the last graduating class of Crosby High School. From there she continued her education by receiving a BS in Education from Gorham State Teachers College in 3 1/2 years. At that time she began her teaching career at Ames Elementary School in Searsmont where she remained for 30 years. She was influential in the molding of many young minds and remained in contact with a multitude of students right up to the present time. She finished her working career at Home Supply Center. Sandra was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving children, Jarrod Way of California and Melinda Way of Massachusetts; her grandson Colton Weaver; her siblings Carroll Watmough and husband Harold, Donald Potter and wife Linda and Brenda MacLeod and husband Warren; her aunts Marie Weymouth and Nola Pine and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Per her request, there will be no services.
