Obituary of Lee A. Flood

Lee A. Flood, 66, of Belfast, Maine, died at home unexpectedly on November 18, 2018. Lee was born in Belfast on July 24, 1952 to Allen and Louise (Canning) Flood. Raised in Belfast, he grew up an avid hunter, and enjoyed tinkering with vehicles and racing cars in the 1970's. Lee loved church, music, Beagles, specifically Midnight, and reading. Lee read his Bible every morning. He worked at Dutch Chevrolet for the past 15 years. Lee loved his family deeply and lived for his grandchildren. In addition to his father, Lee was predeceased by two brothers, Mitchell and Allen. Lee is survived by his wife of 23 years, Virginia; children, Jennifer Hills, and Matthew Elwell, of Union; his mother, Louise; siblings, Rick Flood, Roland Flood, and Jessica Flood; grandchildren, Clark, Jordan and Bailey, of Union; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special cat, Squeaky. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 2pm, with funeral service to follow at 3pm at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast, Maine 04915, Pastor Chad Colburn officiating. Immediately following the services, there will be a reception at the South Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the South Liberty Baptist Church 2895 Burkettville Road, Liberty, Maine 04949.
