Obituary of Gary A. Wood

Gary A. Wood, 61 of Winterport, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born and raised in Hartford, CT. He was a long-time heavy equipment mechanic with the city of Hartford. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, fishing on his boat, going to the shooting range and spending time with his rescue dogs. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Ann Wood. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Debra Wood; his daughters, Sara Dass and her husband Richard of CT and Jennifer Wood and her fiancé Anthony McKinney of Winterport; his father David Wood; his brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Joan Wood; his grandchildren, Riley Christine Dass and Emily Jane McKinney; his niece Ashely Wood and his close friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, financial contributions to the family is greatly appreciated.
