Obituary of Harriet A. Brierley

Harriet A. Brierley, 85, passed away at home on July 2, 2018. Born in Camden to the late Willis and Frances Gerrish, she grew up on the Appleton Ridge in Searsmont. Harriet worked at Penobscot Frozen Food for 22 years. She loved raising the calves on the farm, baking pies and biscuits, picking berries, playing cards and quilting. Harriet’s true love was her family; she cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harriet was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Norman Horace and Robert Gerrish and her sisters Shirley Gerrish and Elizabeth Bauer. Surviving are her loving husband of 44 years, Bruce Brierly of Searsmont; her children, Vivian Fuller of Belfast, Anita Fuller of Belfast, Gayleen Gogan and her husband Jesse of Searsmont and Kandy Niles of Carmel; her siblings, Helen Landry, Ruth littlefield, Dorothy Bryant, Donald Gerrish and Matthew Gerrish; her grandchildren, Monica, Joshua, Brian, Ashley, Hollianne and Bobbijo; her great grandchildren, Kyle, Raven, Adalynn, Markie, Owen and Ryder and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 in Oak Grove Cemetery in Searsmont.
