Obituary of Terrill Wayne Merrifield

Terrill (Terry) Wayne Merrifield of Belfast passed away April 27th 2018 at EMMC in Bangor at the age of 54. Terry will always be remembered for his contagious smile and laughter along with his love of racing, music, swimming, camping, tailgating, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was born March 5th 1964 in Belfast and lived life to the fullest making friends wherever he went. He worked as a painter at Theodore Logan and Son Inc. out of Portland, ME for 20 years and was then self employed with son Tyler at Merrifield Painting. He is survived by his loving girlfriend of 11 years; Jamie Howard of Belfast and their faithful dachshunds, Butch & Bonnie. His parents; Gary Merrifield and wife Lorraine of Zephyr hills, FL., and Dorothy (Libby) Merrifield of Montville. Three sisters and two brothers: Sherry Sawyer and husband Mike of St. Albans VT., Chris Auer of Yuma, AZ., Kathy Merrifield-Lanphier and husband Ricky of Searsport, Alton Libby Jr. of Brooks and Gary Merrifield Jr. and wife Sonya of Brooks. He will be sorely missed by his sons Tyler J. Merrifield of Winterport and Joseph T. Merrifield of Belfast and their mother Sandy D. Merrifield of Brooks. He was loved by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews along with his many friends and racing fans in several states. A celebration of life will be held at the Belfast VFW at 3:00 pm on May 19, 2018.
