Obituary of Harold E. Harvey

Harold E. Harvey, 78, died peacefully on April 3, 2018 at the Spring Brook Center in Westbrook. He was born on May 29, 1939 in Swanville to Howard L. and Bethania N. (Beal) Harvey. Harold was a U.S. Air Force veteran and an industrial electrician until he retired in 2003. His job took him all over the state of Maine and New Hampshire; even as far away as Minnesota and Alaska. Harold and Nancy were members of the Belfast Curling Club for several years and he was the club president from 1986 to 1987. He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Carl Dudley and lifelong friend Nick Nickerson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Philbrook) Harvey; his two children, Howard L. “Zip” Harvey of Waldo and Michele A. (Harvey) and her husband Timothy Wood of Brunswick; his two grandchildren, Amanda Wood and her partner Jake Dignum of South Portland and Emma Harvey; two siblings Agnes Dudley of Searsmont and Harland Harvey and his wife Virginia of South Portland, his aunt Margaret Cunningham and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday May 6, 2018 at the Grove Cemetery in Belfast, Maine.
