Obituary of Eugene L. Sullivan

Eugene L. Sullivan, 62, of Liberty passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2018. He was born on December 2, 1955 in Belfast the son of Thomas and Geraldine (Watt) Sullivan. Gene attended school at Belfast Area High School graduating class of 1974. He worked at Bath Iron Works as a tac welder until his health forced him to retire. His family remembers his loving and generous spirit especially in his later years. Gene was a loyal friend to those he spent time with. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, gardening and working in the woods. He is predeceased by his parents. Gene is survived by his sister Kathy Clements and husband Larry of Belfast; nephews Kevan Clements and wife Lorrell of Veazie, and Bryan Clements of Belfast; niece Amy Ito and husband Ko of Tennessee; best friend and ex-spouse Deborah Sullivan-Alley of Palmyra and Rhonda Loncto of Penobscot; several great nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Boulay family for their kindness and the help Riley provided for him. A graveside service will be held at Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. May 2nd, 2018.
