Obituary of Virginia Heroux Seekins

Virginia " Ginger" (Brown) Heroux Seekins Ginger was born in Morrill, Maine on April 11, 1946 to Frank and Nadine (Thompson) Brown. Ginger lost her long courageous battle to Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia on March 6, 2018. In 1963 she married Bill Heroux of Belfast and had three wonderful children Lynne, Eddie and Lisa. Her children were her pride and joy and they were always loved unconditionally. In 1989 she married Roland Seekins of Belfast. Their years together were filled with love and adventure. Roland was the best long term 24/7 caregiver a wife could ask for. Ginger was a very hard worker and very determined. The word "can't" did not exist in her vocabulary. Having three teenagers and three jobs may intimidate some mothers, but not her. In fact, she welcomed many into her home over the years. Friends of her children and many relatives were always welcome to stay as long as they needed. She was a mother figure to countless number of people. Ginger loved sports. She enjoyed watching them on television but most of all she enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren compete. Other hobbies included walking, gardening, landscaping, watching and feeding wildlife, knitting, reading and most of all spending time with family. Ginger is survived by her husband, Roland, of thirty years; her children Lynne (Donnie) Hahn, Eddie (Laura) Heroux all of Belfast, Lisa Tripp and Shawn Cunningham of Monroe. Gina (Don) Stephens of Modesto California, David Seekins, Brianne (Jonah) Seekins all of Belfast; grandchildren Kyle (Jasmine) Tripp, Alyssa Heroux, Kara (Jared) Burke, Arica Heroux, Dylan (Chantelle) Hahn, Adam Heroux and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Laurence, Edwin, Bobby, Richard, Timmy, Billy, Kenny and Blake; sisters Nancy, Tootie, Janice, Peggy, Carolyn, Phyllis, Juanita and Shelley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and a special cousin Patty (Twinkie) Wyman of Hope Valley RI. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Bill Heroux, father of her children, brother Raymond, sister Maryanne and a special life-long friend, Sharon Fuller. We would like to thank Hospice Care and her special nurses Mel, David and Katie for their top notch care for our mother and our family. No services are planned at this time. There will be a celebration of life Sunday July 22, 2018 at noon rain or shine. We will celebrate with an outdoor barbecue event at her son Eddie & Laura's at 1078 East Waldo Road in Belfast.
