Obituary of Charlotte Ailene Robinson

Charlotte Ailene (McCorison) Robinson, 92, of Islesboro passed away peacefully on February 18, 2018 at Boardman Cottage. She was born on October 9, 1925 on Islesboro the daughter of Melvin and Stella McCorison. Attended school on Islesboro and went on to study cosmetology in Bangor where she met her future husband Paul L. Robinson. Charlotte cooked in many summer cottages on Islesboro as well as in her restaurant Island Café. She enjoyed cooking and knitting in her spare time. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star. She was predeceased parents, spouse; and her son Peter Paul Robinson; brother Leroy G. McCorison; sister Barbara Elward; and nephew John Elward Jr. Charlotte is survived by her loving daughter Linda Achorn and husband Bob of Islesboro; daughter in law Renee Robinson of Kittery; special daughter Nancy Pendleton of Bangor; special granddaughter Chelsea Knight of Northport, niece Deborah King and husband Dennis of Orono; sister in law Margaret “Jo” Mellis and husband Robert; several other nieces and nephews and special friends including Dorothy Stevens. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Boardman Cottage or to the Islesboro Ambulance Association.
