Obituary of Ethel C Davis

Ethel C. Davis, 92, of Swanville, passed away in Belfast on November 22, 2017. Ethel was born October 16, 1925, daughter of Merrill and Alice Butler. She grew up in Searsmont and married Isaiah B. Davis at the age of 16, with whom she started a family. They had four children and were long-time residents of Searsmont before retiring to Swanville. During her working years, Ethel worked in potato farming and for Penobscot Poultry. In her retirement, she enjoyed her flower beds very much. Ethel was predeceased by her parents, her husband (1995), daughter Candice Bizzel, and nine siblings. She leaves behind her children: Juanita Dinsmore and husband Don of Searsport, Isaiah Davis of Swanville, and Edward Davis and his wife Kathy of Searsmont, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will plan a springtime service.
