Obituary of Gilbert J DeGraff

Gilbert Jerome DeGraff, 89, of Belfast, passed away October 4, 2017. He was born September 3, 1928 in Tinmouth, VT. He loved watching NASCAR and going fishing. Over his career, he worked for Maplewood Poultry, Penobscot Poultry, Sprowl Brothers and Bouchards. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty A. Gould of Belfast; his children: Donna Oliver and husband Kevin, Lawrence DeGraff, all of Eddington, William DeGraff and wife Sue of Gardiner, Andrea Friend of Florida, June Harden of North Carolina, Jane Harden of Oregon, Peter DeGraff of Bangor, Leon Gould and wife Judy of Swanville, Matthew Gould and wife Gina of Kentucky, Deborah Griffin and husband Michael, Evelyn Reed and husband Harold, William Gould and wife Ginger, Helen Hutchins and husband William, and Marjorie Davis, all of Vermont; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and friends Steve Moody, Betty and Jim York, and Nick and Alice Seeger. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gilbert’s name can be made to the Humane Society of one’s choice.
