Obituary of Carol Gerrish

Carol Gerrish, 71, of Belfast, died peacefully at Waldo County General Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017. She was born April 22, 1946 to Cecil and Edith Walker. Carol was one of four girls and, more than sisters, they were great friends. She valued and looked forward to their time together. Carol was all about family. She also loved her time spent with friends: shopping, lunch dates, her weekly iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts, as well as her monthly luncheons with classmates. She loved and lived life. She will be sadly missed by her husband Donald Gerrish of Belfast; her stepson Bob Gerrish and his wife Cathy; and granddaughter Cassidy; her sisters: Linda Richardson and husband Charlie of Benton, Marilyn Merrifield and her husband Wayne of Belmont, Julie Montminy and her husband Mike of Waldo; special nephew Chad Montminy of Freedom; special niece Ashleigh Feeney and her husband Logan of Bowdoinham; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and cousins who she loved dearly; special son-in-law Brent Ginn, his wife Laurie and their dog Skye; her beloved cat Rosie. Carol will also be missed by Barbara and Stanley Drinkwater of Prospect, who have been amazing friends and support to Carol. Grammie Carol is now with her grandson, Bradley Ginn, who passed away last August. She will remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her, forever. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
