Obituary of Wayne Roy Perkins

Wayne Roy Perkins, 87, of Belfast, passed away in Bangor on April 28, 2017. Wayne was born January 15, 1930 to Reuben E. and Ellen (George) Perkins. He grew up in Sandy Point and was an avid hunter and also liked to fish. He loved working with wood and was a creative writer. Wayne moved to Belfast with the love of his life, Alfreda, and built his own home from the ground up. Wayne was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Alfreda (Nickerson) Perkins; son Dennis Perkins; and brother Merle Perkins. He is survived by his son Jonathan Perkins of San Leandro, CA; daughter-in-law Debbie Voter of Livermore, ME; two nieces; two nephews; many cousins including Jack and Gerry Brady; and special friend Marion Fisher. While Wayne battled ill health for the past months, it was, in his own words, that his demise ultimately was caused by his "bad disposition". In lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness to an elderly shut in or someone in need. Flowers last a mere moment but the memory of an act of kindness and friendship lasts forever.
