Obituary of William Fraser

STOCKTON SPRINGS William “Bill” J. Fraser, passed away February 18, 2017 at his residence in Stockton Springs. Bill was born August 2, 1938 in Belfast, Maine to Harley C. and Marie (Russ) Fraser. After graduation from Stockton Springs High School in 1956, he was employed by Saucony/ Mobile on oil tankers, Eastern Maine Towage in Belfast and was Port Manager for ITO Corporation of New England at the Terminal in Searsport, Maine for 22 years. He is survived by his wife Donna, his much loved son Anthony and wife Dorothy of Searsport, two grandsons Quinlan and Connor, his brothers: Brent and wife Pat of Stockton Springs; Brian and wife Robin of Northport; Douglas and wife Jamie of Searsport; Keith and wife Melissa of Arizona; Kevin of Texas; sister, Lisa of Arizona; special nephew, Jack and wife Sue of Stockton Springs and niece, Sonya and husband Andy Ferro of Colorado as well as sister-in-law Fran Clark of Swanville In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Sonny and Ted and his sisters, Gerry Dunphy and Sandy Williams. Bill loved sailing his 24' "Island Girl", playing his guitar, digging a "mess" of clams and repairing his many lawn tractors. He enjoyed biking, cross country skiing, camping, traveling with his wife, Donna, and sharing a cup of coffee or a meal with family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call from 1-3 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m. on February 25, 2017 at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast.
