Obituary of Laurelyn J. Deans

Laurelyn J. (Perkins) Deans, 68 of Belfast passed away on October 8, 2019 in Burlington, Massachusetts surrounded by her family. She was born on October 2, 1951 in Belfast the daughter of Elmer and Agnes (Rooney) Perkins. Laurelyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed watching Red Sox and Patriots games with her family, going to Hollywood Slots, trips to Walmart and putting her puzzles together. One of Laurelyn's greatest enjoyments was attending her grandchildren's various sporting events and supporting them. She and her late husband spent time wintering in Zephyrhills Florida where they line danced, and participated in the Leisure Days Community events. She is predeceased by her mother and her husband Douglas Deans. Laurelyn is survived by her father Elmer Perkins of Belfast; her daughter Michelle Atherton and fiance Paul Roy of Milford and their children Michael, Jocelyn, Kaylee, Jayda; son Elmer Deans and wife Amanda Curtis of Morrill and their children Zoe, Grace, Summer, Curtis, and Madison; sister Lorna Bernosky of Belfast and her children Fred Black, Ricky and Derrick Bernosky; many other special extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 16th at 11 am at the Belfast United Methodist Church on Mill Lane where a reception will follow. A private interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Searsport.
