We had Curtis do some plumbing work for us on several occassions. He was really good at what he did and more importantly, he was always willing to explain waht he was doing and did it in a low-key and gentle way. A good man was Curtis.

My dearest brother,
Thank you for always being my big brother. My earliest memory is when we moved into the house on Northport Avenue. I can remember going in the house for the first time. I was three and you were five. Mom made a comment about the farm style sink, how big it was. I was too little to see it and when I whined about not being able to see it, you picked me up so I could. You were not asked to do it, you just did. Mom told the story about when we lived on Miller Street, a dog wandered into the yard while we were outside playing. You got between me and the dog and started barking at the dog to scare him off. Little did we know this would be your path in life. Always helpful always caring. You touched the hearts of everyone you met. When I told you David wanted to learn to play guitar you took me to buy him one. Then you took the time to teach him to play. That's just the way you were. Always helpful, always caring. I love you and I miss you.
Love,
Your sister, Kathy

Curtis was one of the fairest honorable men I have known I have enjoyed inspecting his work and discussing solutions to issues not found in any plumbing code book. May your family forever be proud of the man you were.
Rest easy my friend.

Heartfelt sympathy to Curtis’s family. Lovely write up. So sorry you had to lose him at such a young age but wonderful knowing he is where there is no more pain nor suffering and that you will be united one day. Congratulations to Curtis’s son.
