Obituary of Roger Lee Foster
ROGER LEE FOSTER, 57 of Livermore Falls, passed away September 20th at Farmington. He was born in Bangor on January 6, 1954 to Boyden Harold and Aimee Rae (Magoon) Foster. He attended Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan and attended the University of Maine at Machias. He served in the US Navy stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia and served on the aircraft carrier USS JFK. He worked as a painter and restaurant cook in Ellsworth for many years. Since he was a young boy, Roger enjoyed the outdoors. He raked blueberries with his family for many years. He was always willing to help others including his grandparents tending their blueberry fields when they were not able. He loved camping, hiking in the woods, gardening and feeding birds at his camp. Roger suffered with Huntington's Disease since early adulthood. He fought courageously until the end. A special thank you to Sandy River Rehab in Farmington where he spent the last three years of his life.
He was predeceased by his father and a son, Ryan Foster. Survivors include his son, John Michael Foster of Ellsworth; his ex-wife Susan Guthrie of Ellsworth, brother Carroll Foster of Scarborough, two sisters, Mary Theriault and husband Dennis of Waltham and Sandra Gray and husband Allan of Dedham; many nieces and nephews.
