Obituary of Dennis M. Craig

DENNIS M. CRAIG, 24, passed away unexpectedly September 21, 2011 at his residence in Belfast. He was born in Harris County, Texas on October 13, 1986 to Michael and Amber (Palmer) Craig. He grew up in Patten and attended Greater Houlton Christian Academy. He enjoyed golf and had the opportunity to play in the State Tournament. Dennis participated in baseball and basketball. He enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting and fishing. He worked in the woods with his Dad always preferring to be in the outdoors. He and his wife, Teresa, were married just a few days prior to his death on September 17th. Dennis is survived by his wife of five days, Teresa Sirous-Craig of Belfast, who is the daughter of Fernand and Joann Sirous of Belfast; his parents, Michael and Amber Craig of Lincolnville; siblings, Billie-Jo Craig-Cullins and her husband Charles of Staceyville, Lea-Anne Porter of Lincolnville, Samantha, Selena, Michael; brother-in-law Matthew Porter of Belfast; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Brandon, Ashlie, Jazmine, Evan, Bradlee, Ethan, Emma, Owen, his special friend Raymond Landry of Sherman. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. September 28th at Little River Church, Northport Avenue, Belfast. Private burial will be held at a later date at Patten Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations in Dennis’ memory to Cancer Care of Maine, Lafayette Family Cancer Center, 33 Whiting Hill Road, Suite 1, Brewer, Maine 04412 in honor of Dennis’ nephew Bradlee who has fought leukemia.
