Obituary of Leonard Maker
LEONARD E. MAKER, 59 of Searsmont, passed away after a short illness on January 19, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Rockland January 13, 1953 to Leonard and Violet (Yattaw) Maker. He was the owner of Searsmont’s one and only redemption center. He enjoyed talking on his CB.
He was predeceased by his biological father, Leonard Maker I, step-father Earl Chandler; mother Violet Chandler, brother Lawrence Maker, sisters, Lillian Bolduc and Arlene Everett. Lenny is survived by his domestic partner of 12 years, Terrie Trask of Searsmont; his children Lenny Jr. and wife Aimee of Northport, Steve and wife Hannah of Bangor, Missy and husband Chris of North Carolina, Zeb and wife Christie of Liberty; step-daughter Farrah of Fairfield; siblings Barbara of Rockland, Sylvia of Waterville, Betty of Rockland, Peggy Jean of Wisconsin, Rose of Belfast, Kendall and his wife Chantal of Greenville, Raymond of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Morgan Maker, Daniel Maker and Riley Maker as well as five other grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends, Gary and Mira, Billy and L inda, Danny Reed, Alan Kunish and family.
Private services will be held for the family. Those who wish may make contributions in care of Leonard Maker, 628 New England Road, Searsmont, ME 04973.
