Obituary of Kristina Lee McPhail
PORTLAND -- Kristina Lee McPhail, 34, of Portland, passed on Thursday, March 29, 2012, from complications from diabetes.
She was born in Portland on Oct. 13, 1977, to Edward McPhail and Dianne Louise Kennard McPhail. She spent many of her childhood days at her grandparent's house in South Portland creating precious memories. She always loved her Gram and gained much strength from her loving guidance.
She was a beautiful girl and young woman who was loved and cared for by many, especially after losing her Mom in 1987. She met the circumstances of her life with bravery and courage and a stubbornness to survive. She was a feisty, lively woman with beautiful blond hair and blue eyes who loved to laugh and play. Her laughter was contagious. Her greatest attribute was the kindness and love she still held in her heart regardless of the many difficulties she faced in her life.
She loved all of her family; brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends who touched her life. She especially loved her brother Eddie who was not only her brother, but her closest friend and confident. She will be lovingly remembered for her love of life.
She was predeceased by her mother, Dianne L. Kennard McPhail; grandfather Cliff L. Kennard, grandfather McPhail; uncle Bruce and uncle Eric. She is survived by her father, Edward McPhail; brother Edward 'Eddie' McPhail; grandmother Nellie McPhail and the McPhail family; the Kennard family: her grandmother, Selma L. Kennard; aunt Dorothy L. Kennard, aunt Olga L. Kennard Yattaw and family, uncle Clifford L. Kennard Jr. and family, and uncle Melvin L. Kennard and family. She is also survived by her brother Brandon McPhail, sister Bree McPhail, brother Mark Sears, sister Nicki Shaw, and brothers, Derrick DiCenso and Tim DiCenso. She is also survived by special friends, Sherry DiCenso and Bill Lunt.
A celebration of her life will be held at the People's United Methodist Church of South Portland, 310 Broadway, South Portland, on Friday, April 13, at 2 p.m.
